All things dots!

I have currently been loving spotty nails, I think they are perfect for when you have a plain outfit on because they stand out more.

I think spotty nails are the easiest design to do, and if you make a mistake go along with it like I have with my red nails below. I had done certain dots smaller than others so I decided to make them fade out and it gave a really good effect.

Practice makes perfect and if you have the right tools you can get a really neat circle. I use nail art painting pens. I get them from eBay and you can get 5 for just 99p which is an absolute bargain! These nail tools are also really useful for doing the marble nail effect, I will do a tutorial on marble nails another time.

And here are some of my nail designs below, to give you some inspiration when designing your own.

Heart Yin Yang.

I was recently scrolling through Instagram, searching for inspiration and original ideas and I came across a Yin Yang design. Instead of black and white the girl used red and white, and instead of spots it was hearts and I thought they were really cute, so I had to design my own!

I used models own 'Raspberry crush' nail polish and a basic white nail polish from a local shop. I found the design really easy to do and I will definitely be using it more often.

To do the love hearts I just drew two small dots close together and joined them with a triangle at the bottom, it was really simple to do.

Lion King.

I was really inspired by The Lion King. To be honest I just really wanted to practice drawing sunsets on nails because I think it gives an amazing effect and helps your nails stand out more.

The lion on the rock was the hardest part to do because even though I chose the longest nails to do this design on it still didn't help as it all wouldn't fit on, but I got there in the end.

This isn't the easiest nail art to do but if you are really motivated then after a couple of attempts you should be able to perfect it!

Yet again I purchased my extra long nails from eBay, I mainly use eBay to buy most of my accessories, false nails etc. because you can get some really good bargains and you usually get loads of unique stickers and accessories. The nails I have on in the image below are from Hong Kong and they were £1.80 ($2.99) for 500 - amazing bargain! If you would like to buy these nails the link is below:

Disney nail inspiration.

Recently I have been watching a lot of disney movies with my younger cousins and it has inspired me to design my own disney nails.

I have been using nail wheels to practice my princess/Mickey mouse inspired nails. They are really useful for beginners, because you can really concentrate and while you are waiting for one nail to dry you can start on the others straight away.

For the silhouette princess nails I simply googled 'princess silhouette' and copied the image from the computer onto the nails using a thin black nail pen.

I got the bows and Minnie mouse accessories from eBay, unfortunately the Minnie mouse nail accessories have sold out. Here is the link for the bows:
